Description

Cap: 4-12cm Strongly convex. Walnut brown

Stem: 70-150mm with black/dark brown scales

Tubes: Off-white, becoming pale ochre with age.

Spores: Walnut brown

Flesh: Soft and watery. Unchanging or blushing slightly pink when cut.

Habitat: With Birch trees

Frequency: Common
